All my scrap works and practicing are put on this site. Purpose: This site was made for a class and the purpose back then was to sell templates. But, now I changed it into an Online Portfolio with all of my art work. Actually, I don't know anymore, just a place where I store all my work I guess. Birth: This site was born from my inspiration from DJ-Designs.com. I was amaze at his work which led me into creating a DESIGNS page such as Twin Petals Design and to begin this, I made a crappy layout just so I can turn in a webpage for my newbie Computer Class during my Senior year. Just for the heck of it, if it is illegal to use it, then let me know :o) The Layout I have a couple comments/emails from visitors saying how they really love my site and how it looks so celestial. SO, this time I went straight celestial with the 9 planets on the left and the crescent moon on the staff representing the sun. The orb should be yellow to represent the sun but I love pink so, errr.. my sun is pink! hehehe Besides, the whole site is yellow already, yellow representing the color of the sun or the color of GOLD. (Next layout will be in DIAMONDS! *_*) The key and the locket on the chain of the staff representings a door that needs to be open. Also, the locket to me is a strong symbol because I stored pictures of the people I love and care for, so inside that locket you will find all my special memories, family, and friends. The key also reprents something special to me since I was 14/15. I watch Sailor Moon back then and Rini wears this key on her neck and she uses it to travel through time and space. So I love that idea and adopted this key ever since, beside, the key looks really cute! (Don't you wish you can travel through time and space to a day where you just want to change everything so your life can be perfect? well I do!) The Rose on the right with the vines representing life, because plants are like us, they're living ...err.. plants? hehe. Living plants. So they represent life. The theme for this layout is LIFE and the UNIVERSE! FAQ:: Q: How did I come up with this layout?: A: Inspiration from Kingdom Hearts. I don't like that game much nor have I ever play it, I surfed around for Aeris & Cloud then found myself to that game. Q: Your Imprint of the butterfly has nothing to do with Twin Petals, why?: A: Letssss see, Twin Petals is two identical petal of a Rose (or any other flower). One petal on the left, one petal on the right, merge them together and voila! A butterfly, or a set of wings. Either way, it's a set of wings on a butterfly. ^_^ Q: Why did you name your site Twin Petals?: A: Care for my History?:: Teeheeehehe... This whole paragraph will bore you to death unless you're the kind of person who likes to stalk little o' me :Þ If you insist on reading then here goes, I started with making personal site on geocities with the site Fading Dreams (currently inactive but still available to view). I got the domain TuoiTien.net for that personal site from a friend who I previously partner/help administrating an IRC server with. After the domain died, I got hosted by ExaltedHosting.com which was up and down and up and down for a while. That kind of kill my motivation to renew the site and left it dead yet still viewable to the public. Then later on I surfed at so many graphical site such as Phong.com and EyesOnDesigns.com and Eyeballsdesign.com (something like that, I forgot already) and all those other GREAT work of graphics. Until during my senior year where I have a computer class that require you to turn in a website so I happen to stumble on DJ-Designs.com and built my website using this style. Until now I haven't progress much because Twin Petals moved from host to host because the current host I'm at was ChrisSpitler.com who never gave me an FTP account which lead me into laziness and barely even touch the site. I basically left the net for nearly a WHOLE YEAR!! Then one day I started getting online, surfed on DeviantArt.com and look at my old work which makes me gag because it was so horrible. Then..... I got motivated. And thennn..... My currently Class that I was attending also require me to turn in a website... And thennnnn... I renew Twin Petals!!! And then....Here I am, trying to build up all my contents! This is time consuming, I hope I do not give up before I even started! :o) The End Did you enjoy reading it ? hahah. |
